Herb illustrations

During the first lockdown of the pandemic, I spent a lot of time in my small back yard with my toddler. I started to noticed the weeds that grew between the concrete flags and then became really interested in researching them and finding out about the edible and medicinal properties.

I started by drawing the humble dandelion and this led to different local plants. I feel this will be a lifelong project that feeds my love for drawing, nature and plant folklore.
